Oris Releases: Geneva Watch Days 2023

Oris is presenting a number of interesting new models at Geneva Watch Days, including three new timepieces in the popular Aquis diving watch collection, like the AquisPro 4000m and two new Aquis Date Oris X Bracenet variants. The Artelier collection is also getting two new models.

AquisPro 4000m

The AquisPro 4000m is a professional diving watch and water-resistant to 4,000 m (400 bar, 13,123 ft). This makes it the most water-resistant model ever offered by the Hölstein, Switzerland-based manufacturer. The case is made of durable yet lightweight titanium and measures a stately 49.5 mm in diameter.

The rotating bezel features a diving scale and scratch-resistant ceramic bezel inlay. Oris‘ patented Rotation Safety System ensures the bezel is securely locked in place to prevent accidental adjustments. The blue dial features a wave pattern, and is protected by an anti-reflective sapphire crystal domed on both sides. The indices and hands glow in the dark, thanks to a healthy dose of Super-LumiNova.

The AquisPro 4000m is powered by the in-house caliber 400. This automatic movement is anti-magnetic and chronometer-accurate, and boasts a power reserve of five days. The watch fits securely on the wrist with a rubber strap, color-coordinated with the dial. A folding safety clasp allows the wearer to adjust the length of the strap while they’re wearing it.

The AquisPro 4000m will be available starting in August 2023 for an MSRP of 5,700 CHF (approx. $6,450).

Aquis Date Oris X Bracenet

Environmental protection and sustainability have been a priority for Oris for many years. Production has been carbon-neutral since 2021, and the brand not only relies on sustainable suppliers, it also works closely with a number of non-profit environmental organizations.

The company’s latest partner is the German brand Bracenet, whose mission is to repurpose “ghost nets,” i.e., old fishing nets floating in our seas. Bracenet manufactures stylish bracelets from salvaged fishing nets, under the motto “Save the seas. Wear a net.”

For Oris, Bracenet transforms the salvaged nets into watch dials: green, blue, and white pieces of ghost nets are fused together and then molded into the appropriate shape. The method makes each dial truly one-of-a-kind.

Oris will make these dials available beginning in September 2023 with the release of the Aquis Date Oris X Bracenet Edition. As we’ve come to know from the Aquis Date, the new watch is available in sizes of 36.5 and 43.5 mm and powered by the caliber 733 (based on the Sellita SW200-1). Both versions are made of stainless steel and feature a brushed stainless steel bezel, and are water-resistant to 300 m (30 bar, 984 ft).

Oris’ official list price is 2,350 CHF (approx. $2,660).

Oris Artelier S

Oris collects their dress watches in the elegant Artelier line, and are now expanding the collection with the new Artelier S. This new 38-mm stainless steel timepiece features a narrow bezel and domed sapphire crystal. The dial, with its delicate baton hands, is particularly minimalist: the only markings on the dial are the short hour indices at its outer edge and the Oris logo at 12. Oris offers two dial colors, forest green and a deep, shimmering black.

The Oris Artelier S is also powered by the caliber 733, an evolution of Sellita’s SW200-1). However, Oris has decided against the movement’s usual date display.

The Artelier S will be available starting in August 2023 for an official MSRP of 1,900 CHF (approx. 2,150 USD).
